“Learning is nothing but realization which happens through self enquiry, experiencing and exploration”

The Science Club
The Science Club was organized to provide year round opportunities for students to explore science. Our science club consists of 6th through 8th grade students - gifted to special education! Bimonthly, members participate in an activity, project, or volunteer activity related to science. At the end of each year, we are planning to have a Science Festival for all members who have participated in at least half of the events.

Each month students (5th - 9th grades) have the chance to compete against each other in science related events. Many of these events challenge them to create a device that will accomplish a specific task. Science Club members also help with the Nature Club and have the opportunity to participate in various projects in the community development.

The Nature Club The Club aims at saving nature from being overshadowed by the materialistic and superficial world wherein life is caught. The Club undertakes several activities with a view to sensitize students to the issues of Nature and Environment Conservation. The Club has student members drawn from Grades VI, VII, VIII and IX. The idea is also to aware students about the composition of environment and related issues and second, to promote collective and individual activities by students for solving/preventing some of the environmental issues through simple initiatives. Engaging students in conservation is rewarding as their minds are more receptive for shaping their attitudes.

The Club members work in collaboration with the NGO’s like Kids For Tigers and WWF.

They benefit from:
  • Nature Trails
  • Study visits
  • Slide
  • Film Shows
  • Talks
The English Club
The Club is an attempt with a main purpose to promote an awareness of both language and literature.

It is a place for language learners to use English in a casual setting. Practicing skills in the classroom is important, but it is not like real life. In our English Club, the students get a chance to practice many different skills in a setting that is more like real life. We try to make it feel less academic and more social through the screening of movies, reviewing books, staging: role-plays, debates, group discussions and presentations. The club also organizes various competitions and events like elocution, extempore, choral recitation, literacy week etc., to encourage students to expose their talents and use English as a functional language.

The best attempt that the club has made is regarding the reading habits in today’s children, who are not inclined towards reading, by organizing a Students’ Library, an exclusive student unit.
